"The reality Is that you will grieve forever.  You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you'll learn to live with It.  You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered.  You will be whole again but you will never be the same.  Nor should you be the same nor would you want to. "  Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler - On Grief and Grieving

Welcome to Dragonfly Grief Care! My name is Betsey Bogen and I offer one on one confidential conversations virtually or in-person to help you navigate all of the emotions that come up as you deal with grief. All human beings will at some point experience the pain of loss. No one is immune. Grieving is a very individual process and follows no timeline. Contrary to what society preaches, you don't get over a loss, you get through it. But you don't have to get through it alone. I am here to meet you where you are and walk beside you. With honest, compassionate, open conversations and a little (ok, a lot) of patience, we can work together to help you integrate your pain into your life so you may heal your heart and find new purpose in your life. My hope is that in time you will be able to feel more joy than sadness as you accept and adapt to the changes in your life that loss inevitably brings.

*As a Certified Grief Educator, I am committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.

I have completed a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. I will bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief and loss. *

Grief is the collision of every emotion a human can possibly feel.  It presents strongly as anger, guilt, loneliness, sadness and fear.  It is emotional, physical, spiritual, mental and social.  It is also Normal and Natural.   Death changes relationships, circumstances, roles, and people.  Two people can experience the same loss yet have a very different grief journey.

Life feels different because it is different.  You are no longer the person you were before the loss.   But positive change and personal growth can happen with time and effort.  You don't need to be fixed.  You need to be heard.   Having someone witness your unique grief makes a difference.  Invest in your heart and contact us today for an appointment.
